"HE'S A VEGETABLE. He will never walk; he will never talk; he will never be like the other children, and if he lives to be five (5) you should be grateful", the Doctor said.   
 
      Never did I accept that fact even as his limp body was before me daily. I called him "healthy"; I spoke those things which be not as though they were. I did not base my faith on what was told to me, neither of what I saw, but rather on what God said in Romans 4:17b, "And calleth those things which be not as though they were".
 
      I learned whatever God said will stand and that he will put no more on you than you can bear. So I accepted his commission when he spoke to me, "If you are his mother and you don't help him, who else in this world you think will?
 
      My son did not speak until he was four (4) years old. Now, he's singing for God. Some of his favorite songs are, "He will put no more on you than you can bear", "The Solid Rock", "Praise Him", "Bless the Lord", "I Will Bless the Lord", "Come to Jesus", "I decided to follow Jesus", and "If It Wasn't For Grace".
 
      Today, he is 3 x 5+. He plays basketball and football for our community. He plays in a steel band. He participates in Talent Searches in the community, and is actively involved in church activities; i.e., singing, reciting scriptures and poems, and is on the Honor Roll at his school. I can attest to the fact that where there is hope and faith, GOD PREVAILS!!

    1. Does he have a job? How long has he been on his job? Is it a job with a 
        future?
    2. How does he handle his money? Is he stingy? Is he always complaining   
        about enough to pay his bills?
    3. Where does he live and with whom?
    4. Does he wear heavy cologne? Maybe a sign of drug cover up.
    5. Have you ever caught him in a lie? Or his stories seem to be different every
        time he tells it?
    6. Does he curse?
    7. Get angry and out of control over little things?
    8. What is his spiritual beliefs?
    9. How is his relationship with his mother, sisters, brother, boss, co-workers?
   10. Are your hobbies and interest compatible?
   11. How is his hygiene? Fingernails clean?
   12. Has he been married? Why did he divorce?
   13. Find out how his last relationship ended? What happened?
   14. Does he put you down when you are alone or in front of others?
   15. Is he too smooth, too perfect?
   16. Does he want to control, ask you a lot of questions about your whereabouts?
   17. Or is he a know it all?
   18. How is his spending habits?
   19. Does he have a doting mother?
   20. Is he quick to put off things for tomorrow?
   21. Who pushes him around, manipulates him?
   22. Beware of the overly concern for dressing, either on your part or his.
   23. Are you having to defend him, stand up for him?
   24. Watch for roving eyes.
   25. Is he rude and overbearing to your family?
   26. Can he change a car tire, or a light bulb?
